The Professional French Diploma (Diplôme de Français Professionnel – DFP) is a language evaluation designed to certify your ability to use efficiently the French language for professional purposes.
The DFP is awarded by the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and
Industry, at the service of 670,000 companies, leader and pioneer in this market for more than 60 years. This exam is internationally recognized.
Professional French Diplomas have a lifetime validity. Registration and exams are organized by the Alliance Française de Lagos.
There are five independent diplomas, which correspond, respectively, to the five levels of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) : A1, A2, B1, B2, C1.
The 5 diplomas that make up DFP are completely independent. This means that candidates can register for the examination of their choice, according to their level.

The exams for the Professional French Diploma consist of two parts:
• Understanding and processing information (between 45 mins. and 2 hrs. depending on the level)
Processing written information
Processing oral information
Written communication
• Oral interaction (between 5 and 15 min depending on the level, plus preparation time)
Only DFP business certificates are awarded in Alliance Française de Lagos.
This diploma certifies your ability to use efficiently oral and written French in most recurrent situations of professional communication. The DFP Business certifies that you are able to manage administrative, commercial and relational situations within a company.
Example of activities covered: write a note, write a report, comment on a graph, meet and inform a client, present your professional background, present an argument to a decision-maker, and several other interpersonal, administrative and commercial activities related to business management.
